The green lifestyle magazine Simply Green has discarded print and moved to a fully integrated multi-media digital format.

The first of its kind

According to a statement issued by the company, the digi-mag “can be described as South Africa’s first ‘free-to-readers’ green digital magazine.”

Frequency increased

The launch took place mid-March and a benefit for readers and advertisers alike is the magazine is increasing its frequency from the previously bi-monthly (six issues per year) print magazine to 12 digi-mags.

Copious reach claimed
The magazine says it has a number of “significant partnership deals secured for distribution of the ‘free to view’ magazine.” The magazine is working with content providers like Howzit MSN. “These deals give the magazine a reach of over 3.6 million at launch, expected to increase rapidly through further partnerships and viral distribution.”
