Jellyfish is an award-winning digital agency with a global track record. They’ve called Durban home for the better part of a decade and have offices in London, Reigate, Brighton, Baltimore, San Francisco and Barcelona.

Jellyfish has hosted Digital Journeys for the last six years in the UK, and this year, brings it to South Africa, and importantly, to industry-event starved Durban. This exclusive, invitation-only experience will be held an annually in SA and follows on to the global version held earlier this year in London.

“We decided to host the Durban event to demonstrate that we are thought leaders in the industry and passionate to share our knowledge, “said Charmaine Kelly, Jellyfish SA Operations Director.  “The response to our invitation has been amazing and we have had to cap attendance at 80 delegates due to space constraints.”

Jellyfish MD, Tim Lombard added, “digital marketing events in Durban are few and far between, so we decided to host our own. We felt we had a ready-made formula with our six-year history of hosting Digital Journeys in the UK, so it seemed an obvious move.”

The speakers are:

  • Mark Sham (Founder & CEO, Suits & Sneakers)
  • Colin Habberton (Director of Global Partnerships, BrandsEye)
  • Colin Fleming (Head of Retail, Zapper)
  • Nadav Moskovitch (Partner Manager, EMEA Emerging Markets, Google Analytics)
  • Lorraine Landon (Head of Agencies, Google SA)
  • Crayg Hitzeroth (MD Ad Dynamo – Twitter’s Partners in Africa)
  • John Sanei (Trend Specialist & Innovation Strategist)

The theme of the event this year is “Sixth Sense”. With artificial intelligence at our fingertips, Digital Journeys looks at the role of humans and technology in marketing going forward. At what point do we step in and decide what to do with the data provided? And will machines ever be capable of mimicking that sixth sense – perception and intuition?

We will also focus on how personalisation can impact those ever-important micro-moments, by using predictive marketing to create a sense of familiarity and speed up the conversion process. This is no longer marketing. This is everyday life beyond the now.
