rAge expo 2025 – what an incredible experience. If you missed this year, sadly you will need to wait for next year. The atmosphere was simply electric. We have been invited to many, many events and admittedly this was our very first rAge ever. But we can honestly say that it was THE best we have been to, by far. And no, we are not being paid to say that.
Ok, ok honestly speaking. Fourways Mall have some planning to do for the next one. It was hot, exceptionally hot and we needed to walk a bit to get to the loo. But absolutely no one was crying, melting a little perhaps, but definitely no crying. The space itself for the expo is beyond with over 20 000m2 of space to work with. The event organizers did amazing with coordinating the layout and floor plans and also managed to make a plan with some massive industrial air coolers to help with the excessive heat. Truly, the only ones we felt sorry for were the spectacular cosplay characters and the poor gaming machines that we were in fear of overheating.
Excitement, Adrenalin and sheer Electricity in the atmosphere.
There was something for everyone… from the little people all the way through to the big people. Plenty of game play for everyone and if they weren’t playing, they were spectating and even some were spectating their own game.
You could literally get a free tattoo with Beneath The Surface Tattoo studio (amazing bunch), build your own lightsaber, sing karaoke or participate in any of the game play (of which there were many to choose from). Monster Energy drinks diligently kept replenishing us with their drinks throughout the show. While we raced in Apex F1 sims and tried our luck with the interactive boxing machines. When we say there was something for everyone, we are not joking.
rAge truly was beyond… Disney+ had their Alien Earth scream machine setup, there was Pinball machines on sale, we kid you not! There was even a Pacman arcade machine being played to win free tattoos.
Artists had artists alley with interactive sketchpads and some mind-blowing art by Mr & Mrs Pencils. There was even a small market place to for the non-gamers and a Lego pit if you wanted to feel like a kid again or you know… If you are a kid!
Just really too much to mention here and we don’t feel this short piece will do it justice.

It really was EPIC. We cannot leave this without making mention of KOODOO’ s vibrant stand with over-the-top merch, games and products. We were absolutely amazed at the setup.
We also need to mention Mettlestate for their grand exhibition and build a keyboard (Keychron) competition with the prize time being a quick 22 seconds we believe to build a keyboard from scratch.
We also could NOT get enough of the coffee Freezo’s & ice coffees at GeGrond all the way from Pretoria, sadly we couldn’t bring them home with us.
