Having not been on TV for over 20 years Cerebos, South Africa’s favourite salt brand, is back with an exciting new animated commercial.
The TV ad tells the charming story of a little girl who dreams of one day experiencing snow. Unfortunately she lives in one of the warmest towns in South Africa, so that dream is destined to be just that until her grandparents intervene – with a little help from Cerebos.
“Cerebos is an iconic brand and having created their previous TV commercials, including the engaging ‘Masterpiece’, we gladly accepted the challenge to create something new and memorable.’’ says FCB Durban Creative Director, Brandon Govender.
“We wanted something out of the ordinary and decided it simply had to be animated. Tulips & Chimneys are the best in the business, and we’ve truly enjoyed working with them to bring the characters and story to life. It’s been a real labour of love for all involved, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.” added Govender.
“The free-flowing nature of our salt has always been one of its greatest selling points. That’s where the ‘See How It Runs’ line comes into it. We’re really excited at how FCB Durban and Tulips & Chimneys have expressed this idea through the charming ‘Snow’ commercial.” says Jackie Nkadimeng, Marketing Manager of Cerebos Salt.
“South Africans love the Cerebos brand and we wanted a commercial that would also find a place in the hearts of our customers. We’re looking forward to the public’s reaction.” Concluded Nkadimeng.
‘Snow’ will commence flighting on 13 August and will be on E-TV and SABC.
