The country was shocked by the news of a walkway collapse at Hoërskool Driehoek. The community steps in to help.

This is phenomenal story that happened on Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels on Breakfast with Martin Bester on the morning of 6 February 2019, with R865 000 raised during the show for Hoërskool Driehoek and learners affected by the 1 February walkway collapse.

Martin and the team were broadcasting live from Hoërskool Waterkloof for the station’s #MySchoolRocks competion. This morning’s episode of Good Morning Angels focused on the Hoërskool Driehoek tragedy, chatting with Charmaine Steynvaart – mother of a 14-year old learner who was involved in the Driehoek-incident and received the news yesterday that she would likely not walk again.

The team called on listeners for help and the response was bigger than they  could ever have imagined.
