Biggest eraser collector craze about to hit SA

Kids love to collect! And what better way to launch a new mini collectable series than to introduce mini versions of some of South Africa’s best loved stationery products into the South African market.

The full Crazi Erazi collection consists of 13 erasers which will appear on retail shelves at the end of November. The timing of this campaign is also significant with the festive season fast approaching and even more importantly, the back to school season as parents and children prepare for the 2018 new academic year.

Unlike the retailer specific free collectables seen over the last few years which rewarded shoppers with a collectable item per specific amount spent in store, Crazi Erazi collectable erasers can be purchased at a variety of participating retailers and stationers for only R 6.99 each. The plastic collector box, which doubles as a pencil case, retails for R 39.99 and is fitted with exact compartments where all the erasers can be housed.

The replicas of actual stationery products include brands such as Pritt, Mondi, Treeline, Artline, Uni, Penflex, Staedtler, BIC and Butterfly with mini versions of glue sticks, multi tack, paper reams, counter books, pens and markers, highlighters, pencil cases, pencils, crayons, pocket files, paper pads and colouring books. Furthermore, these are useful as they are all functional erasers.

While mini collectables are popular but certainly not new, this campaign is a collaboration not seen before in the stationery retail space – with different brands partnering together and the sale of the product  not specific to one retailer or store.

Each eraser is packaged in a foil bag where the collectable inside is not visible, making this campaign perfect for children to meet up with friends, swop and compare collections.

Collectable Crazi Erazi erasers are also very affordably priced, so that many children will be able to use their own pocket money to purchase them.

There are also exciting competitions and promotions linked to Crazi Erazi, which includes the possibility of purchasing of one of 3 000 golden tickets in the form of Kia Car erasers. Consumers who find this eraser and present it at their nearest Kia dealership and take any model Kia for a test drive, will stand a chance to win tickets for 2 to the FIFA Soccer World Cup in Russia in 2018, all expenses paid.

One thousand stationery hampers worth R 300 each are up for grabs to consumers who purchase any three of the participating products and post a photograph of the products together with their till slip to the Crazi Erazi Facebook page. Furthermore, consumers who collect the full Crazi Erazi range and post a photograph can stand a chance to win a share of R200 000 towards their school fees.

This campaign which runs until January 2018 will most certainly add to the excitement of Back to School 2018 for children and adults alike!
