The Digital Media and Marketing Association (DMMA) has moved away from an Executive Committee structure and instead appointed a Steering Committee for 2013.

Headed by Nikki Cockcroft, DMMA Executive Director & Head of Bookmarks, the change in the Committee and its structure is, in part, to facilitate the rapid Nikki shoot 130 1 150x150
member growth.

The body has moved away from its previous structure, replacing its Executive Committee with a Steering Committee. “As it is the DMMA’s 10th birthday this year, it was the right time for us to make a few changes to our structure to ensure that we continue to grow from strength to strength,” Nikki explains. “As a non-profit organisation with a rapidly growing member base, it is pertinent to relook at how we appoint the right committee, as we are dependent on this team to drive the annual initiatives.”

The Steering Committee members are nominated by members and appointed by the Board. Cockroft remains Executive Director and a new Board of Directors will be appointed during the year. “The Board will not necessarily need to be re-elected annually as has been done in the past,” Nikki points out.
